The home of Rocking DK Stables, which is approximately 1000 acres, has only been owned by three Worth County families. In the late 1800’s, the present day lodge wasbuilt by the W. R. Harris family who farmed cotton, corn and peanuts.  The Harris family raised six children in the original part of the lodge which houses guests today.

The pecan trees surrounding the beautiful lodge were planted over 75 years ago.  Since 1988, the Davis W. King family has owned the home and the land.  Since then, there have been additions and renovations to the lodge enhancing the stay of visitors from all over the United States.

Preservation and conservation are important to Davis King, Jr. who has been an avid outdoorsman since his youth. In fact, he literally grew up on this land where the “Call of the Wild” made him the happiest and continues to do so today.
